Recently, tests have proven the existence of the largest diamond known to man. It was discovered several years ago, but its composition was still somewhat inconclusive. But now, it’s confirmed. It’s a diamond.
And it’s big.
It’s about 2,500 miles in diameter (United States-ish) and fifty light years away.
So once again, child-like philosophy proves true:
Twinkle, twinkle little star
How I wonder what you are
Up above the world so high
Like a diamond in the sky

250,000 miles is a lot-lot-lot bigger than United States-ish. That's more like the distance from Earth to the moon. There are stars with smaller diameters.
Whoops.
I got carried away with the zeroes. I changed the details to the correct numbers--including the distance, which is fifty light years rather than just ten light years. I hope this distance error did not mess up anybody's plans.
