STAGE: Rapunzel

This was another adaptation commissioned by BackStory.
The challenge was to take a relatively short tale and expound on it without letting the movie Tangled influence my approach too much.
I decided to make Rapunzel's parents the exact opposite of the ones in Tangled. They are negligent and downright mean.
I also researched the name Rapunzel and found out it is a type of edible plant. This resulted in a food theme which ended up being pretty significant in this version.
Almost all of the names are references to vegetables and other plants.
The first production of this took place on March 1, 2012
