STAGE: The Secret Garden

BackStory produced my adaptation of The Secret Garden. I didn’t know much about the story until I read the novel. It’s a great book and had so much great dialogue in it. It was one of the first more dramatic plays BackStory has done and it went over pretty well. I kept a lot of the dialogue from the book and the English phrasing was difficult. But the kids did a wonderful job. The last part of the final scene was accompanied by music and actually got several people choked up—including me.
