LOST FINAL SEASON--EPISODE #5 "THE LIGHTHOUSE"

{SPOILERS}
*again the flash sideways is “inaccurate”—Dogen is present as a parent at the recital; this makes me wonder if this whole “flash” is actually not really occurring at all—that our heroes are all still on the island only being put through a “vision”—I think Jack’s appendix scar is actually a scar from being “tested” by Dogen (branded) and he just doesn’t remember it—whereas Sayid did not pass, Jack did
*The six names written in the cave are referred to as “candidates.” The numerous other names that have been crossed out indicate that this search has been going on for a long, long time. Now that Locke’s name has been crossed off, there remain only five. This whole thing is going to be whittled down to one person—Jack, Jin, Hurley, Sayid or Sawyer. Since Sawyer has joined BadLocke and Jin and Sayid also seem to be in the vicinity of joining the “dark side,” this leaves Jack and Hurley. And since Jacob seemed so intent on having Jack see his old house in the mirrors of the lighthouse, my guess is that this is all going to come down to Jack.
*Adam and Eve are two characters that we already know who died in the past—now confirmed by Hurley. My official nominations are Sawyer and Juliet.
*The Score: Dark has 4; Light has 2. (Locke, Sawyer, Jin, Sayid vs. Jack and Hurley)
*108 degrees: since 108 has shown up again, I dug around for any significant allusions: The meridian 108° west of Greenwich is a line of longitude that extends from the North Pole across the Arctic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, the Southern Ocean, and Antarctica to the South Pole. / There are said to be 108 lies that humans tell. / There are said to be 108 human delusions or forms of ignorance. / Some say that 1 stands for God or higher Truth, 0 stands for emptiness or completeness in spiritual practice, and 8 stands for infinity or eternity. / The diameter of the Sun is 108 times the diameter of the Earth. The distance from the Sun to the Earth is 108 times the diameter of the Sun. / The average distance of the Moon from the Earth is 108 times the diameter of the Moon. / The first manned space flight lasted 108 minutes, and was on April 12, 1961 by Yuri Gagarin, a Soviet cosmonaut. / and my favorite: Some say there are 108 feelings, with 36 related to the past, 36 related to the present, and 36 related to the future.
*the name on the lighthouse dial next to the number 108 was “Wallace” (???)
