I just finished the final draft of an adaptation of ALICE IN WONDERLAND for BackStory Theatre Academy. Research included rereading the two Lewis Carroll books and watching the old 1951 movie as well as the 2010 Tim Burton version. The script is 25 pages long and has about 25 characters. The puns and general nonsense were extremely fun to develop. I rearranged details for my own purposes, but I tried to keep the original tone and style.
Anna Wilcox will be using the script for a one-week drama class, with elementary-age actors. The production will be presented on the Broomfield Community Center Stage June 25th.
